Joint IASC/SCAR Bipolar Action Group on Science Cooperation (BipAG II)
The Bipolar Action Group (BipAG) was initiated in 2008 by the Scientific Committee (SCAR) on Antarctic Research and IASC. The Action Group explores options for effective cooperation concerning bipolar issues and the development of mechanisms to nurture the International Polar Year legacy.
The two-year mandate for the group was prolonged in 2010. In its current form the Bipolar Action Group on Science Cooperation (BipAG II) will concentrate first and foremost on bipolar scientific opportunities of cooperation.
