Atlantic Plastics Symposium 2026

The Third International Symposium on Marine Plastic Pollution, Atlantic Plastics 2026, will take place from 20–22 October 2026 at Harpa Conference Centre in Reykjavík, Iceland.

Under the theme “Arctic to the Antarctic,” the symposium will provide an international forum for sharing research, building partnerships and discussing science-informed responses to marine plastic pollution. The programme covers monitoring and assessment, plastic sources and pathways, impacts on ecosystems and human health, circular-economy solutions, mitigation and restoration, and the science–policy interface.

The event welcomes scientists, policymakers, Indigenous and local knowledge holders, industry and innovation actors, NGOs, students and early-career researchers.
