The Interagency Arctic Research Policy Committee (IARPC) Sea Ice Community of Practice is seeking applications for a voluntary co-leader. The Sea Ice Community of Practice works to enhance understanding and improve predictions of the changing Arctic sea ice cover. It hosts meetings with the IARPC Collaborations community to discuss sea ice research, as well as supports other IARPC collaboration teams and communities of practice in implementing the Arctic Research Plan 2022-2026. Sea Ice co-leads regularly interact with other IARPC Collaborations teams and community leads from federal, academic, industry, and/or non-profit backgrounds.
As the current co-leads have strong observational experience, we are particularly looking for a co-lead with modeling expertise to join the Sea Ice Community of Practice leadership team. We encourage people from diverse backgrounds to apply.
Applications are due by February 13th, 2025. See the full announcement here: https://www.iarpccollaborations.org/updates/26116
