At ASSW2024, on 26 March between 9 am and 5.30 pm the interdisciplinary workshop on “Geongineering to save the Arctic?” will take place in Room: St Trinnean's (St Leonards) and online. The workshop is part of an IASC cross-cutting project with contributions from all working groups. At the workshop we aim to gather input from as many scientific disciplines as possible as well as from Indigenous Peoples, and other representatives on implications of geoengineering in the Arctic and needs for information, communication and permitting.
This workshop is open to all and we invite everyone interested in the topic to join. No prior knowledge is needed. If you plan to attend, please send an email to gabriela.schaepmann@ieu.uzh.ch and Julia.schmale@epfl.ch before 20 March.
