The 2018 Arctic Observing Summit (AOS) will be held in Davos, Switzerland, 24-26 June, immediately following POLAR 2018. This is the 4th Summit since its inception in 2013. The AOS brings together a diverse community to continue progress on the development, implementation and sustained support of a multi-purpose Arctic observing system of systems.
You can register here for the AOS, POLAR 2018 and Arctic Science Summit Week all in the same place.
In preparation for AOS 2018, community input was invited in the form of short statements and poster presentations. These articles have been submitted for public review and discussion for the AOS 2018 (you can download these documents here, and a revised, final version will be posted as it becomes available).
Thematic Working Groups are preparing synthesis documents to report on the state of Arctic observing under each theme, to identify linkages among themes, remaining gaps, needs and priorities, and to generate discussion around solutions, implementation, community engagement, and international cooperation.
For questions about the statements and synthesis process, submission of posters, and AOS coordination, please contact Maribeth Murray or Ravi Sankar.
