We need YOU (polar science and education experts) to review the original Polar Resource Book - Polar Science and Global Climate: An International Resource for Education and Outreach. Now almost a decade old, we are asking for feedback on the current book’s contents to identify content that is problematically outdated / misleading / wrong before we move forward with an updated version.
The Polar Resource Book was created to ensure efforts catalyzed by the International Polar Year (IPY). It will continue to inspire educators, students, and emerging polar researchers into the next generation with a shared commitment to outreach and education.
Polar Educators International, the Association of Polar Early Career Scientists, the Scientific Committee on Antarctic Research, and IASC are teaming up to create a new and updated resource with the same goals as the original, but for a new cohort of polar scientists, educators, and learners!
But FIRST - If you are interested in helping review this community resource, please fill out this brief form by 7 May 2020. You will be contacted the following week with your review assignment and you will be asked to submit your brief review by the end of May at the latest. Reviewers will be asked to review one chapter but are welcome to give feedback on others as well.
