The IASC Atmosphere Working Group, in close cooperation with the Human and Social Sciences Working Group, hosted a session at the IPY Montreal Science Conference on Public Perception of Arctic Change, specifically focusing on the question of “why is the public becoming more skeptical about climate change even as evidence to the contrary mounts?” A summary of the session, published in EOS by Jim Overland and Peter Schweitzer, can be downloaded here.
